SUPPLY TEACHER

Today, it was my first day in a primary school as a supply teacher. I observed the method, subject, students behaviour to understand the problems foreigners are facing to acquire English as an Additional Language.

Liza, 10 years old, can communicate, understand instruction, but not able to write and read the task she is doing.

Peter, 12 years old, has the same difficulties.

Three kids are very little, 5 years old. They are learning how to spell, phonetic sounds, and recognize words and pictures. Almost zero of English at all.

Monday morning, I am starting to help them to cope better in the school.

When I was leaving one the students, looked at me, said good bye, opened his hand with a candy for me. It was very sweet of him.
