Ice Breaker
I would like to mention the importance of activities that you can play in the classroom to break the ice. If you think that there is no ice to be broken, great! But, how about an activity that can make your students feel more confident and aware about their own behaviour? Here it is:
*put a sticky note on everybody's back;
*ask the students to write a positive comment or an uplifting word about his/her colleague(s),
*remember everybody is supposed to participate;
*the notes can be read only after everyone has finished;
*allow them to use their books, dictionaries, or if necessary, to ask for a possible translation;
You might be surprised about what you can get. Enjoy yourself! It is fabulous!!!!

Dear Suzel,
first of all, you're great in the picture!!
Activities that make everybody move are great. I enjoy them very much.
I have recently heard of a very good activity. See what you can do with it:
You write on paper a sequence of a movie (scenes)in a different order of how it happens. Give the paper to your students and let them watch the sequence. They will have to put the scenes in order.
This activity was applied to a basic 1 class (11 y.old children).
(try one of the episoes of Mr. Bean). They had to recognize some irregular verbs and, at the same time, it was fun.
a kiss from the heart !
(I'm here, trying to write my final course project...).
